Abstract:

Undergraduate thesis detailing selecting for a sample of kaons using LArIAT beam line system and then outlining their usefulness in verifying simulation for proton decay searches in the channel p->K+ v. Includes preliminary results on the performance of PIDA at rejecting background and a proposed improvement, PIDAN.
